About

Awake, north wind!
Rise up, south wind!
Blow on my garden
and spread its fragrance all around.
Come into your garden, my love;
taste its finest fruits.
(Song 4:16; NLT)

The blog title EL AUSTRO:
Austro is an archaic Spanish word for south wind from The Song of Songs.
Levántate, Aquilón, y ven, Austro;
Soplad en mi huerto, despréndanse sus aromas.
Venga mi amado a su huerto,
Y coma de su dulce fruta.

Jesus spoke to me as I sat in the car in the Safeway parking lot near Carmel Ca.
He said, “If you will lay it all down I will cause the south wind to blow.”
I knew what he meant but didn’t know how far reaching "all"  might be. I was holding on to a lot of ministry dreams that Jesus wanted to put the match to. He made it clear to me that his desire for the rest of my life is that I learn to dwell in his presence.
I am beginning to see that being in His presence is not just going out to a mountain top and meditating but that there is both a corporate as well as a personal side to it. I am working on that balance and Jesus still allows me to go out to the nations occasionally and bring his healing power to the needy.

All this works together, Intimacy, life together and ministry. If the pull of the Holy One in your life is similar maybe we can encourage each other to press in deeper.

“Come into your garden, my love;
taste its finest fruits.”

His enablement in your pursuit of Him!
